Frequently Asked Questions

We will be open 4 days per week, from Thursday to Sunday, weather permitting.  Our opening hours on these days are 10am-5.30pm. We will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

Please note that we may have to close or not open due to poor weather. 

'Pick your own' strawberries are charged by weight, at £4.35 per kg.  

 Pre-picked punnets may also be available to purchase if you are in a hurry or don't wish to pick your own. 

We do have baskets/punnets available for you to use for picking, but we now welcome you to bring your own containers for you to use instead, if you wish. 

Yes, we are can accept card/contactless payment or cash. 

 Suitable footwear is important as the field is uneven in places and may be wet due to the weather. In dry conditions, trainers or a walking boot shoe are appropriate or wellington boots when it is wet. 

Don’t forget the sun-cream if the sun is shining!

 

  No, the field will be clearly marked with the areas of the field that are accessible for picking. Our friendly staff will advise you where to go. Please allow other customers space to pick their strawberries - there's plenty for everyone!

Once you have finished picking, please go to the mobile shop to pay for your fruit.

 

  Yes, all fruit should be washed at home before consuming it. Please do not eat any strawberries whilst picking.

 

Unfortunately there are no customer toilets on site at present, but there is a hand sanitizing station for customers to use when entering and leaving the site.

 

For hygiene reasons, dogs are not permitted on the strawberry field.
